The inspiration for the bedroom space came from the book “The Old Man and the Sea” by Ernest Hemingway.The fascinating story of the character of the heroic old man who every day goes fishing with his boat in the sea and returns without results.The space around the bed was the sea for us and the bed (the boat) floated in these spaces.On the sides of the bed, several steps lead to the highest place in the room, the bathing area which is behind the bed.The water for bathing comes from many sprinklers located in the ceiling.The water then pours out in channels and creates small cascades on both sides of the bed.The back wall of the bathroom is completely covered with tiles simulating fish scales. (Hint to the big swordfish in the story)
The special glass panel on which the bed is placed and which surrounds it in space, simulates a big wave in the sea,Inside it (in the part opposite the bed) is the TV screen, it can also be viewed from the bathing area.From the walls, delicate lighting emerges that creates reflections on the various surfaces – these simulate ripples in the sea…
